"Volume 3 in Blow Up's Exclusive Blend series - compiled by label/club
honcho Paul Tunkin - trawls the French Telemusic Library archives, this
time with the brief to unearth spookily esoteric dancefloor grooves. Hence
the inclusion of seven weird and wonderful mood mosaics by Guy Pedersen.
Check out the session bassist's collaboration with Raymond Guiot on Indian
Pop Bass, an unholy amalgam of frenetic flute wailing and smoky sitar
haze, an his solo masterpiece, the mesmeric Bass In Love, which exudes
hauntingly eerie melodrama redolent of a Giallo score by Morricone. Other
highlights include Bernard Estardy's Hammond-led Vertigo Leitmotiv (imagine
Richard Groove Holmes scoring Hitchcock), Bernard Lubat's breezy saunter
Bahia Bossa Nova, and Paul Piot's smouldering Vertueuse Reveuse. "
