The single was recently up for Steve Lamacq's Rebel Playlist on BBC 6Music and the band have just recorded another BBC 6Music Session for Marc Riley (12th July) as well as being invited by Lamacq to play at his new monthly club 'Going Deaf For A Living' (invite here) on Thursday 29th July.

2nd Silvery album 'Railway Architecture' - out 9th August
Silvery release the follow up to their 2008 debut Thunderer & Excelsior with their 2nd album Railway Architecture on August 9th.
Railway Architecture sees Silvery to continue their creative brainstorming, and Railway Architecture which sees bands singer/songwriter James Orman continuing his journey into the very English and eccentric world of the mad, bizarre and absurd. With a doff of a stove-pipe hat to Blur, Bowie, XTC and Sparks, their sound is an eclectic but commercial proposition. The album expertly blends post-punk, Britpop (for want of a better word), music hall and 60's pop into this year's most exciting release yet, and recently described as:

Silvery's 2008 debut Thunderer & Excelsior was a BBC 6 Music Album of the Day,Artrocker Album of the Year (No 19), an Organ Top 10 album of the year and gained a multitude of supporters across press and radio including Steve Lamacq, Marc Riley, David Quantick amongst others. The band were invited to play at Rough Trade East's 1st Birthday, Amsterdam’s annual London Calling festival and as guests of British Sea Power at their "Sing Ye From The Hillsides" Tan Hill Festival and also on their late 2009 tour.

Blow Up presents Exclusive Blend Volume 1 sees Paul Tunkin, DJ & founder of Blow Up club, taking us on a journey deep into the vaults of the KPM music library. Originally released in 1996, the Blow Up Exclusive Blend series were one of the first commercial introductions to Music Library and the twilight world of the session man. Volume 1 features the cream of the KPM Music Library writers including Keith Mansfield, Alan Hawkshaw, Alan Parker and Johnny Pearson, From the pounding up-tempo of 'Move, Move, Move' through the Hammond-heavy 'Beat Me 'Til I'm Blue' and 'Rocky Mountain Runabout' (versions of both featuring on the legendary Mohawks 'The Champ' album) to the sitar 60s club sound of 'Delhi Discotheque' and 'Come here Calcutta'. Most of these tracks had never been commercially available before this release.
Blow Up presents Exclusive Blend Volume 2 sees Blow Up's Paul Tunkin entering the vaults of De Wolfe, Amphonic and once again KPM. As with a bulk of Exclusive Blend 1, many of these tracks were receiving their first commercial airing on this album’s release. Originally released in 1997, the album also introduced James Clarke’s Wild Elephants to the world, which was later retitled ‘Blow Up A-Go-Go’ as a thankyou from the writer and became the title track for the successful V2 / Blow Up compilation ‘Blow Up A-Go-Go! Dancefloor Classics from The Legendary Blow Up Club’. This album includes tracks from many great music library theme writers including Keith Mansfield, Alan Hawkshaw, Syd Dale, and Alan Moorhouse.

(Instruments featured include the Hammond, Bongos, Synthesisers, Vibes.) As always written, arranged, performed and produced entirely by Nasser at his Ramshackle Studios on analogue 8 track. The album was mixed by Nick Terry (Klaxons, SMD) at The Premises in Hackney, London. Please note, this album contains NO SAMPLES, just a groove that sounds good!

BLOW UP MIX for DUST GALAXY
We're pleased to announce that Rob Garza (Thievery Corporation) has asked us to give the Blow Up treatment to 'Mother Of Illusion', the second single from his new solo project Dust Galaxy.
The Blow Up Mix is the first track on the 12" version of the single and is also available to download (out now). The Blow Up mix team features Nasser Bouzida aka The Bongolian, Nick Terry (Klaxons, SMD) and Blow Up's Mr. Paul Tunkin. You can currently listen to the mix on Dust Galaxy's myspace.
After a long wait during which saw some copies fetch silly prices on eBay, Volumes 1 & 2 have finally been reissued including a brand new pressing on vinyl.
Compiled by Blow Up founder and main DJ Paul Tunkin, Volume 1 features Hammond-heavy classics from the KPM music library, and Volume 2 yet more dancefloor-friendly cuts from the KPM, De Wolfe, Amphonic and Sylvester music. Essential for DJs and collectors alike!
