download both... London's Silvery release their debut album 'Thunderer & Excelsior' - a 14-track blast of infectious eccentric British pop and an essential release for 2008. Crafted in their East London studio with Kevin Feazey and mastered by John Davis, the album features previous sold-out single 'Horrors'/'Orders' and their second single 'Devil In The Detail' which will be released the same day and is strictly limited to 500 numbered 7”s. The single also features an exclusive B-side 'The Squadron Leader' not on the album.
'Devil In The Detail' has been spun so far by Steve Lamacq (6 Music and Radio1), who has invited the band to record a session for his BBC Radio 1 show, to be broadcast a week before the album & single release, Marc Riley (6 Music) who has requested a session, Gary Crowley (BBC London), as well as Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie (Radio 2). Both sides have already been aired in the US too by KROQ legend Rodney Bingenheimer.

Over the last few years, Mockingbird, Wish Me Luck have been recording songs, just a few at a time, describing themselves as “the slowest recording band ever”. Expect a psychedelic musical trip to the outer regions of the Funk galaxy, taking in spaced-out heavy Bongo rhythms and Latin Soul along the way – all 100% Original Dancefloor Rhythms. (Instruments featured include the Hammond, Bongos, Synthesisers, Vibes.) As always written, arranged, performed and produced entirely by Nasser at his Ramshackle Studios on analogue 8 track. The album was mixed by Nick Terry (Klaxons, SMD) at The Premises in Hackney, London. Please note, this album contains NO SAMPLES, just a groove that sounds good!

BLOW UP MIX for DUST GALAXY
We're pleased to announce that Rob Garza (Thievery Corporation) has asked us to give the Blow Up treatment to 'Mother Of Illusion', the second single from his new solo project Dust Galaxy.
The Blow Up Mix is the first track on the 12" version of the single and is also available to download (out now). The Blow Up mix team features Nasser Bouzida aka The Bongolian, Nick Terry (Klaxons, SMD) and Blow Up's Mr. Paul Tunkin. You can currently listen to the mix on Dust Galaxy's myspace.
After a long wait during which saw some copies fetch silly prices on eBay, Volumes 1 & 2 have finally been reissued including a brand new pressing on vinyl.
Compiled by Blow Up founder and main DJ Paul Tunkin, Volume 1 features Hammond-heavy classics from the KPM music library, and Volume 2 yet more dancefloor-friendly cuts from the KPM, De Wolfe, Amphonic and Sylvester music. Essential for DJs and collectors alike!
