The Forty Fours sign to Blow Up Records.
Blow Up Records is pleased to announce the signing of The Forty Fours.
The London based group The Forty Fours, emerged in Cornwall as teenagers where they became a highly regarded Rock n Roll three piece unit on the local live scene. Showing a consummate display of vocal harmonies and raw Rhythm and Blues instrumentation. In recent months they have moved to London and are now set to shakedown the capital.
They take their musical influence primarily from traditional Blues and Merseybeat and the sound of the Sixties British Invasion. To date they have been mixing their original songs and covers into a high energy live experience which they are soon to be distilled on to studio recordings for a debut single and album for Blow Up in the coming months. In the meantime, check them out live as they are set to perform live at the forthcoming Blow Up club events in 2025 and other locations. Stay tuned for further updates.

Indian Summer of Love finds The Bongolian immersed in a new set of sounds and influences for a new Belle Epoch. It’s a musical landscape informed by the Sixties psychedelia of India via a Haight Ashbury happening. It’s a kaleidoscopic vision that takes us from a 20th century Fin de Siècle and lands us somewhere in the here and now of the 21st Century. It’s for dancers, for seekers and is all underscored by The Bongolian’s trademark heavy rhythms and breaks. It’s another fine instalment of essential cuts for the dancefloor and for high fidelity listening, quality is guaranteed.
Nasser performs drums, percussion, guitars and keys whilst the album features several new flavours to the Bongolian sound, with the prominent instrumentation of sitars and bansuri, along with flute, trumpet, saxophone and trombone performances from several stellular international guest musicians.
Indian Summer of Love is designated with the Blow Up Records catalogue number of BU137 (LP/LPC/CD/DD)
The album is distributed in the UK and worldwide via Cargo Records and will be available in all good record shops.
